Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

For the price, the student discount, the speed, the location, and the quality it deserves 5 star. 1 minutes drive from IUSB if you're lazy, or about 4' walk. The food is standard, tasty Chinese that you would exect from a mainly take out place like this. The servers are always very nice. The place is quite small if you decide to dine in but again it's mainly for take-out. I have nothing to complain. Plus it opens late at night for a night-time working students with no car like me =). Found this place a few months ago. Pretty good Chinese food and the price is more reasonable than some of the other places around. We always get the dumplings which are tasty and the sauce is much better than other dumpling sauces I have had. Also they give you free stuff if you spend over a certain amount, not uncommon for Chinese food. Overall we like this place for the location, price, and food.

Simply the best! Super friendly, super fast and super good! I have never been disappointed by anything I've ordered. My favorite is still the fried dumplings, but order early, as they make them fresh daily and have run out before.

Tried about 4 items and the only one that was close to being right was the Young Chow rice. People you don't use wonton wrappers to make egg rolls either. Elkhart Chinese food fail #3.

Excellent little spot for quick and tasty Chinese food with a friendly staff and a wide selection of menu items. The good: the service was excellent. Everything was made fresh with very little wait time. We ordered the moo goo gai pan, vegetable egg foo young, and pork egg roll, all of which were delicious. Certainly the best Chinese food I've had in the South Bend/Mishawaka area. The menu was extensive and had everything I ever order when eating Chinese food. Everything was hot and well made. Nothing greasy or overly salty as is often typical of Americanized Chinese food. I've found my new go to spot. The bad: Little to say for a complaint other than the fact they forgot to include the sauce for the egg foo young. This is certainly not a dealbreaker as it is a simple mistake. The bottom line: It can be difficult to find great Chinese food. This place was exactly what I was looking for, with a large variety of items, all of which were very tasty. I will certainly be back.

China House is a typical neighborhood short-order Chinese restaurant, there's one in about every five-mile radius in every town. That being said, their quality/price ratio is good. You won't be awed by an extraordinarily crafted food, but you're not going to be disappointed either. I've had better Chinese food, but it costs more and I get smaller portions. The place can be charitably called modest. You go there to eat quickly or order take-out. Considering the price I'm not complaining. The family that owns the place is nice and friendly, seeing the two daughters helping out their parents is heartwarming. My personal favorite is Szechuan Tofu, but I haven't had anything on their menu that disappoints. I'm giving the place four stars because it's my default Chinese place when I want quick food without spending beaucoup bucks. They're consistent enough that they have earned my loyalty.

I have have had take out here several times. The food was cheap and delicious. The chicken in black bean sauce is really good as well as the vegetable lo mein. When ordering take out I think the longest I have had to wait is 20 minutes. I highly recommend it.

By far my favorite Chinese takeout... Been eating there for about 6 years now.. The ingredients are fresh and your food is always cooked to order.. And if by some chance there is a problem with your order.. Your order will be remade or free.. If you haven't yet give this place a try. I would recommend doing so

Man, this place rules! My gf and I eat Christmas dinner here every year. Family owned. They even have their young children working here. The mom is totally hot and gives me free egg rolls. I don't think she's got the hots for me. I'm just fat and I think she's trying to keep me hooked. Try to General's Chicken and Pot Stickers. Call ahead and order. It'll be ready in 15 minutes. HUGE portions!

We were weary of the outside cause it looks kinda dingy and old . But gave it a shot. I called ahead of time to make sure they had tofu. I was pleasantly suprised ! The fried tofu was great! I think you can sub It for any kinda sauce. We did sesame seed tofu and it was yummy! They told us we can't order a lunch special with it but we got a dinner a huge tray for 8 dollars ! It was enough to feed my hungry husband my mom and myself ! We ordered two and had so much left over. It came with white rice but def not enough for the amount of tofu. Overall very pleased with our visit.

We love this restaurant! It's in our neighborhood, so we're frequent customers. They have a large and diverse menu, and the food is consistently good. The owners are kind and helpful, and the hours are perfect for being close to a college. They are also open lots of holidays (like Christmas) when finding another restaurant can be a challenge. Very reasonably priced with large portions and high-quality food. The China House is a must-visit!

Definitely a step up from your standard mediocre Chinese-Americanized places usually found in Indiana. It is a real hole in the wall, but there is definitely a more authentic flavor to their dishes. We ordered Yang Chow fried rice and Singapore noodles - authentic flavor and not too oily. Also had steamed dumplings and fried chicken wings which were tasty. I would come here again to try more dishes. Open on Sunday nights which is a real plus for the area.

Great value and great portions . They have a huge menu and everything is reasonably priced. The owner and family is amazingly friendly and willing to go out of there way to make sure you have a great meal. Take out orders routinely take about 10 minutes no matter how busy they are. They are open early everyday and late , even later on the weekends!

Low cost, large portions, and very tasty. The restaurant itself is somewhat small (only 6 or 7 tables) so it sees a lot of take-out action. Best General Tso's Evar -- I've nearly given up trying the General Tso's at other places. Roger is right, it definitely isn't fancy fine dining, but is definitely the best take-out around.

This small mom-and-pop restaurant has good food with generous portions -- but the real draw is the hospitality. A recent visit with a large group (and it's none too big!) was greeted with kindness, and the 'mom' was very accomodating to the older members of the party. It certainly isn't fancy, but it's a worthwhile stop.
